Aspen's homework

This morning Aspen needed to finish up some homework using the internet.  I took her to my mom's house on the way to school. We were a little pressed for time and the computer runs a little too slow.  Aspen needed to get to school on time. Luckily, my parents have a set of encyclopedias, which helped us out a ton. It was quick and very easy to look up the info needed, instead a waiting for the computer to power up.  Who says you need the internet?  (My house is currently without internet connection, otherwise Aspen's homework would have been done earlier in the day.)

Boating with the Family

My parents have the coolest boat ever!
They take us out when their schedule is open,
which is very full for two retirees.
They are very active and make time for their family.
 Thanks mom and dad

Hanging out

Last night I went to sit on the deck because Ryan turns on the a/c as soon as he gets home from a hot day of work, which freezes me out. I love the summer evenings and the warm air. The kids came outside and I snapped a few pics of us together. making funny faces and bunny ears. haha

On the Freeway

I have four kids, driving in the car on the freeway. I am always amazed at what beautiful scenery is given each day I look out the window. I grabbed the camera, told Aspen to capture the shadow in the picture along with the mountains, clouds, the sign that says 'create a stir' and the green water tower.  Does anyone know where I am on the freeway? Please tell me.

I try to teach my children to look at the beautiful surroundings of the natural landscapes and the predictible randomness of the weather. The beautiful winters of Utah. I Love it.

Target

I took the kids shopping at Target on Monday after ice cream with the family. I needed to buy toothpaste, and Dylan needed a belt. While Aspen and Madison were looking at swimming suits, I found a few things for the boys. The girls had to try on fifteen suits, of which none worked out, and the boys where playing hide and seek. After about five minutes, Austin walks past me many times without Dylan. I asked Austin "Where is Dylan? You better find him!" Just as I said that, the intercome came on over the whole store, calling a 'Shanna' to the front of the store. Hm, I thought, The intercome is loud and annoying.  Then again the person on the intercome called a 'Shauna Jackson' to the front of the store.  Wrong last name, Dylan's middle name, he is missing. Then, the person called 'Shauna' to the front of the store.  I jetted to the front of the store to see four lady employees standing there to make sure a little four year old finds his mother.  I walked back to the fitting rooms, told the girls to put away everything, "We're leaving!"  found some nesseccities for everyone, even Ryan and checked out, got to the car, put everything in, even the kids.(ya, i know miracle) and asked "who plays hide-and-seek in a store with a four year old? Are you insane?!"

Swim suit shopping will have to happen another time, another place, and without boys!

And i forgot toothpaste!  ahhh!
